Property description

Group of houses with 42 acres of land basically forestry in the hamlet of la muria asturias. This group is part of a hamlet of 8 houses and consists of 4 stone constructions, around a corral which is accessed by 3 large gates. It has its own chapel with access from the road and from inside. It has been uninhabited for a long time, but is still in acceptable condition. It includes plots of different sizes with a total of 42 acres most with trees . Oaks, chestnuts, walnuts beeches, birches etc.The village of La Muria is located in the Principality of Asturias but the nearest villages are in the province of Lugo.It is halfway between Navia de Suarna and Fonsagrada, about 25 km from each of them.La Muria is a village that is suspended 550 metres above sea level forming a natural balcony from where we can see below us the river Navia and above us the great peaks of the Ancares mountains. The village has four houses but only one of them is permanently inhabited. The property is made up of three houses joined by a partially covered inner courtyard, and another separate one and a large barn with two floors, the upper one leading to the inner courtyard and another on the ground floor with the same capacity. The three buildings are enclosed by a large wall with three large wooden doors that give access to the interior. In the main house we have the kitchen, a large dining room, and a large room from which we have access to the chapel (the chapel also has access from outside). In this house we have several stables, one of them with a wood oven. The other house, called the tower house, has 5 small rooms on the upper floor, one of which was formerly used for salting pigs, and a large room that was formerly used as a school. In the lower part of this house there is a large cellar. The house has electricity and a large well which supplies the property with water. The only neighbour who lives in the village is also allowed to draw water from this well. The last house is in need of complete restoration. The roof of the buildings has recently been replaced. The road to the village is good with a good road surface but the road is narrow and winding. From the village to the house there is a steep climb up a ridged concrete road. For sale exclusively through Galician Country Homes.(Taxes not included.
